Occupational therapy (OT) is the use of assessment and intervention to develop, recover, or maintain the meaningful activities, or occupations, of individuals, groups, or communities. It is an allied health profession performed by occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants.
If your child has a speech disability that includes trouble pronouncing words, speech therapy may help improve language development, communication, and pragmatic language skills. Speech Therapy (ST) helps kids with language-related learning issues, such as speaking, listening and writing. This is being done by Speech Therapists (STs) at our Center.
Special education (also known as special–needs education, aided education, exceptional education, special ed. or SpEd) is the practice of educating students in a way that addresses their individual differences and needs. It is also tailored to meet the needs of students with disabilities. The services and support a child receives may be very different from what another child receives. It’s all about individualization. What’s important is giving kids the resources they need to make progress in school.
If your child has been consistently struggling in life and school, his or her problems may be due to a disability. If you think your child may have a disability, you need to consult with a developmental pedia practitioner to confirm or dispel your concerns. After the doctor confirmed any disabilities, you can come to us for an initial evaluation (IE). The IE services is conducted by our Teachers so they can assess your child’s situation and therapy needs.
Our Teachers provide certifications as needed by the child and/or parents for whatever legal purpose it can serve them.
Any other services that may be customary to your child’s needs.
